Basically Slendy, fucked up he told them to go to the west gate forgetting that the forest is inhabited by the Seed eaters, they hunt in those woods and attack without warning. he went back to tell the group that they had to go around the forest but they disobeyed Slendy  and went early, giving him no chance to warn them!
